Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, scheduled to be observed in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh from January 13 to February 26, 2025, is undoubtedly an important event in the context of Indian culture and spirituality. This Hindu pilgrimage site is celebrated every 12 years. It’s the mega event where more than 100 million people is estimated to gather.

  • January 13: The first royal bath of the 2025 Kumbh Mela will take place on this day, which is also Paush Purnima.
  • January 14: A royal bath will be held on this day, which is Makar Sankranti.
  • January 29: A royal bath will be held on this day, which is Mauni Amavasya.
  • February 3: A royal bath will be held on this day, which is Basant Panchami.
  • February 12: A royal bath will be held on this day, which is Magh Purnima.
  • February 26: A royal bath will be held on this day, which is Maha Shivaratri.

To reach the Kumbh Mela, you can fly into Prayagraj Airport, which has regular flights from major Indian cities. Prayagraj is also accessible by train or bus from major Indian city like Delhi, Varanasi, Lucknow, Kanpur, Kolkata etc. You can also book accommodation at Mahakumbh.in or the IRCTC Tent City.
