The 7th edition of North East Festival to be held in Delhi from Nov 8

Delhi will yet again witness the grandeur of Northeast India as the seventh edition of Northeast Festival (NEF) will be gracing the capital From November 8. It will be a three-day festival organised at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Arts, New Delhi. Referring to this, Organiser-in-Chief Shyamkanu Mahanta said that the North East Festival is an attempt to showcase and create awareness about India’s Northeast, and to promote entrepreneurship and tourism. The festival is, in fact, an attempt to bring the best of the region under one roof and build bridges.

Latest reports suggest that from setting a workshop on tribal languages, food festivals and hosting fashion shows, to the showcase of tourism potential and dance forms of Northeast, this seventh edition will help you understand more about this region even without being there.

The schedule of this three-day fest will be packed, which will comprise art workshop and exhibition, and also feature Delhi’s biggest food festival, which will bring into table some of the delicious Northeastern delicacies, organic vegetables and fruits, and also those popular processed food products from that region.

The organisers have informed that there will be around 100 stalls, which will let you get a glimpse of exotic and beautiful handloom, and also handicraft products. A workshop on tribal languages spoken in the Northeast region will be held, during which you can listen to great talks, and witness great speakers talking on the topic under one platform.
